Sadeer participates in the Coexistence Conference at the United Nations General Assembly in Geneva

Under the sponsorship of the United Nations General Assembly in Geneva and within the activities of the conference “Peace and Coexistence under the Iraqi Constitution” regarding minorities, Dr. Hamid Alkhafaji, President of the Sadeer Foundation, presented a working paper on the importance of dialogue and peaceful coexistence. He also shed light on the effectiveness of the principle of respect and acceptance of the other and the dissemination of the values of tolerance in order to find a solid ground for coexistence among the components of societies, especially minorities, who are still suffering from many challenges that impede the process of peace, coexistence and the development of the country. He added, “The working paper presented a set of practical and necessary foundations for building a productive dialogue aimed at peaceful coexistence.” Alkhafaji expressed his thanks and appreciation to the organizers and those in charge of this initiative in order to promote common human values.
Many international institutions and organizations concerned with the affairs of dialogue, coexistence and minorities participated in the conference, in addition to the representative of the Swiss government and representatives of the United Nations at the headquarters of the United Nations General Assembly in Geneva – Switzerland.
